"I am a 62 year old amateur guitarist. The back story is that I played guitar for 40+ years left-handed and inverted on a right-hander's guitar. Johnny London persuaded me to undo 40 years of self-teaching and reverse the strings...completely starting over. Every chord, riff, scale I knew disappeared. Now, I play far better, with more ability, fluidity, and insight than ever.
The prospects for advancing my skills are wide open. Clearly, age is no impediment to learning new things. My hands are faster, more precise and stronger than ever. There is much room for improvement and I am eager to push the boundaries. As an adult learner with a full schedule, I find that Johnny accommodates my limitations while urging me forward. That is just what I needed and more than I dreamt possible. Johnny knew all that even if I didn't.
Johnny is a teacher and mentor with transcendent skills. His knowledge of music theory, personal accomplishments as a musician, and his joyous enthusiasm for music transforms the whole process of "music lessons and workshops" into a new adventure. Age is no matter. Child, teen, adult ... we all want to make music and Johnny provides us all with the structure, tools and encouragement for it. Last night, I just sat in my chair and read a music score from a favorite composer. I heard the music, felt my fingers arch and stretch for the chords, picked the arpeggios in my mind. That was never possible before and now I'm not sure what isn't possible. "

"Being surrounded by people who share a passion for music and songwriting was by far one of the best and most rewarding experiences of my life. Johnny and Emily went above and beyond to create an amazing learning experience, provide unbelievable meals every day and to create an awesome environment to learn and progress. We actually got to learn guitar techniques from famous songwriting musicians, and there was always something fun going on with new workshops every day, as well as jam sessions and all sorts of other activities all week long. And of course with all of this taking place in an incredible mountain setting, the London School of Guitar Workshop was nothing short of EPIC. These guys really care about every student and made sure that every day was an adventure. Thanks John and Em!!"

"Everything I have experienced here has been superb! The teachers give all the information you need to perfect your craft and inspire you. I haven't progressed this much for a long time. I was kind of in a rut before I got here but the London School of Guitar Workshop has helped me get out of the rut and progress to be better than my expectations! I came to the Camp wanting to expand my theory knowledge and the workshop offered me everything I needed to do that. The workshop helped me get over my biggest obstacle...and that obstacle was me!

"I had a great time at the London School of Guitar Workshop. I've learned new things to take home with me and practice for next year. Everyone here is nice and very passionate about what they do. The teachers very patient and helpful. Overall I'd rate my experience here as a 10 on a scale of 1-10!
I have seen an increase in my speed, I can switch between chords easier and I've learnt new scales for better playing and understanding of the guitar.
The highlight for me was jamming with Ace Frehley - it was a dream come true!

"This was my first year at the London School of Guitar Workshop (2011) and I loved every second of it! I soaked everything up! It was the most amazing, inspiring and creative environment. There is no other place I would want to be - I learned so much so quickly all while having a blast at the same time!
The London School of Guitar Workshop encouraged me to approach my practicing which in turn helped me overcome obstacles that I couldn't until now get over - for me, my obstacle was soloing but now I am good at it whereas before I had no idea how to solo.
The highlight for me was being in such an amazing environment with people that share the same passions as me - it was SO inspiring!
THANK YOU for having this camp - it has helped me grow so much!"

The workshop opened me up to Improvisation and self-teaching. I'm also grateful to learn that not everything I write is perfect!

"The London School of Guitar Workshop was the best vacation of my life! But it was hard, enjoyable work. I love the atmosphere and energy every day along with the interaction with teachers and other students.
The Workshop identified my weaker areas and gave me a plan for what to work on to be a better player.
The highlights for me were working with all the musicians and being able to receive personal instruction as well, I also loved hearing all the other students perform at the nightly open mic sessions.

"I LOVED my experience at the weeklong London School of Guitar Workshop, getting an opportunity to collaborate with and be inspired by other musicians of all ages and experience levels in such a supportive and gorgeous environment is a real joy!
Playing at the nightly open mics helped me overcome my performance obstacles and seeing all the experience levels feel/share the same has made me want to continually become better and play more in front of audiences
The highlight for me was finding more depth in different aspects of my composing and writing music, in addition to the obvious infinite opportunity to connect with so many cool people.
Thank you so much"

"The London School of Guitar Workshop was great and a unique experience compared to others I've attended. The classes are small and customized to the students needs. The topics are varied so you can pick and choose what you want and need to reach your goals.
Among the highlights during the weeklong Workshop for me were that I wrote, collaborated on, put music to and performed a song in a mere 48hrs! Also, the incredibly talented kids and adults I met made it a great experience."

"I had a really good time, and I really enjoyed meeting new people. I really learned more here than I ever thought I would! Before the London School of Guitar Workshop I wasn't the best at reading tab and I wasn't too good at using chords all up and down the fret board. Now I can do both a lot better.
The highlight for me was being able to play music with tons of other kids, I don't get to do that too often."
